Eva, una donna di quarant’anni di origine turca abita in Australia. E’ sposata con un uomo che non ama, non esce mai di casa e trascorre tutto il giorno da sola come una prigioniera. L’unico momento di gioia della giornata è quando si occupa del suo giardino. Una donna (Lilith) la visita nei suoi sogni ad occhi aperti. Finalmente Eva se ne va di casa e abbandona tutto per una nuova vita.
Biografia della regista
Gulsum Guler Ozen è nata Manisa in Turchia nel 1982. Gulsum si è laureata nel 2007 in Cinema e Televisione all’Università di Ankara. Ha lavorato per TRT Haber (Turkish Radio Television News) prima di trasferirsi ad Istanbul. Poi ha lavorato per tre anni come assistente alla regia per diverse serie televisive. Dal 2011 abita a Melbourne e sta frequentando un Master in Studi di Genere all’Università di Melbourne e lavora come sceneggiatrice e regista freelance. Good- Bye Adam è il primo corto da lei scritto e diretto.
Eve deserts heavens’ captivity to be free and then transforms into Lilith.
In a Turkish area of Australia, lives a woman (Eve) in her 40s who has an unhappy marriage, never goes outside of her local area and spends all her days in the isolation of her home like a prisoner. Her biggest joy is the time she spends in the garden at home. A woman (Lilith) pays her visits in her daydreams. Finally, she (Eve) leaves home with everything left behind to charter her own destiny.
Director Biography
Gulsum Guler Ozen was born in Manisa, Turkey on 22 July 1982. Gulsum has graduated in 2007 from Radio, Television and Cinema division of University of Ankara. Gulsum has worked in TRT Haber (Turkish Radio Television News) department for a period of time prior to settling in Istanbul. She has worked in various television series as assistant director for three years. She has now living in Melbourne since 2011. Gulsum is currently studying Postgraduate Diploma in Arts (Gender Studies) in Melbourne University and is also working as freelance writer,editor and director. Good- Bye Adam is her first film written and directed by her.
