Ogni volta Djemila va a trovare sua madre vorrebbe confessarle che ama una donna. Non è facile rivelare ai genitori chi si è veramente ma nel caso di Djemila il tutto è complicato dal fatto che la madre è sempre impegnata a guardare la sua fiction preferita. E nella testa di Djemila tutto si confonde: finzione e realtà, timore e folle speranza. Ma la reazione di sua madre la sorprenderà…
Biografia delle registe
Karima Gherdaoui e Anne Voutey si sono incontrate dieci anni fa mentre studiavano recitazione ai Cours Florent. Da allora lavorano insieme come sceneggiatrici e registe. Tra il 2006 e il 2008 hanno lavorato all’adattamento per il cinema di alcuni racconti di Raymond Carver. Nel 2010 hanno fondato la loro casa di produzione cinematografica ZartsProd, che si occupa di teatro, cinema e scrittura. La loro prima produzione teatrale, Vintage, è stata selezionata al Festival d’Avignone. L’heureuse élue è il loro primo film da registe e sceneggiatrici.
When Djemila goes over to her mum, she’s obsessed with revealing her that she is in love with a woman. However confessing who you really are isn’t that easy when your mother is absorbed by her favourite drama! Everything gets confused in Djemila’s head: fiction and reality, fear and crazy hopes. But her mum’s reaction will be unexpected…
Director Biography
Karima Gherdaoui and Anne Voutey met ten years ago when they studied acting at Cours Florent. Since then they’ve been working together both in screenwriting and directing. They made their first projects about the adaptation of some novels by Raymond Carver between 2006 and 2008. In 2010 they created their own production company ZartsProd, focused in theater, film and writing. Their first theater production, Vintage, was selected at Festival d’Avignon. L’heureuse élue is their first short film as writers and directors.
