Queer Heroes

Quattordici animatori celebrano le figure queer più rappresentative dell’arte, scienza e politica fino ai nostri giorni. La struttura è basata sul vecchio gioco surrealista “Cadaveri Eccellenti”. Ciascun animatore disegna il suo eroe queer e il suo ultimo frame diventa il primo dell’animatore successivo.
Biografia della regista
Kate Jesso è animatrice pluripremiata per i suoi cortometraggi, pubblicità e video di artisti. I suoi lavori sono stati presentati a numerosi festival in tutto il mondo come Raindance, The Best of Birds Eye View, Stuttgart e Tricky Women. Il suo primo corto “Desires” ha rappresentato il Regno Unito nella categoria The Best of Women in Film and Television,
E’ la fondatrice di Animation Girl Band e l’ideatrice della web serie ‘Tales From Pussy Willow’.
Queer Heroes

A celebration of queer gures in both historical and contemporary times who have helped push forward arts, politics or science.
A collaboration between 14 queer identi ed UK animators, the structure is based on the old Surrealist drawing game Exquisite Corpses.
Each animator was given a hero to animate, passing on their last frame to the next animator to form their rst frame and so on.
Director Biography
Kate Jessop is an award winning animation lmmaker whose work spans across animated shorts, promos and artist’s lm and video. She has exhibited extensively internationally being selected for numerous national and international festivals and touring programmes such as Raindance; The Best of Birds Eye View; Stuttgart and Tricky Women. Her rst lm ‘Desires’ was a Virgin
Media Shorts Finalist, represented the UK in The Best of Women in Film and Television and is distributed through Shorts International.
She is the founder of Animation Girl Band and is the creator of comedy web series ‘Tales From Pussy Willow’.
