San Francisco, 1985: Frankie è un ballerino di danza moderna che entra a far parte di una compagnia dove viene spesso accusato di essere poco mascolino. Si innamora di Todd, veterano della compagnia e macho negli atteggiamenti. Nel frattempo nella comunità gay inizia a diffondersi una malattia di cui nessuno sembra sapere nulla. E Frankie e Tood dovranno muoversi in un mondo pieno di promesse allettanti e altrettanti rischi.

San Francisco, 1985: Frankie confronts the challenges of being an understudy in a modern dance company as he embarks on a budding relationship with Todd, a veteran dancer in the same company and the bad boy to Frankie’s innocent.
