Biografia del regista
Dopo aver studiato Cinema and Television in Hong Kong Baptist University Piaoyu Xie si è trasferita a Praga per studiare regia alla Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) nel 2013. Si sta specializzando nella regia di fiction ma si interessa anche ai documentari a sfondo sociale. Il suo documetario “Katerina 4392 “ è stato trasmesso dalla televisione ceca TV ART nel 2014 e il suo cortometraggio “All of Me” è stato selezionato come il miglior corto tra oltre 2000 allo Short Film Corner del Festival di Cannes nel 2016. Piaoyu Xie lavora anche come casting director, production manager e interprete per diverse coproduzioni e come fotografa per il Mezipatra Film Festival e il Prague Fringe Festival.

Director Biography
After receiving BA in Cinema and Television in Hong Kong Baptist University, she moved to Prague right away to continue her MFA in directing at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in the Czech Republic in 2013. She is specializing in directing fiction, but is also interested in social topic documentaries. Her documentary Katerina 4392 was screened at Czech TV ART in 2014 and her short fiction film All of Me was selected as COUPS DE COEUR (Shorts of Heart) among more than 2000 films in Short Film Corner of Cannes Film Festival in 2016. Except working as a director, she also works as a casting director, production manager, interpreter for several co-production projects and photographer for Mezipatra Film Festival and Prague Fringe Festival.
